District 186 Cabinet members and high school principals joined families, faculty, and SIU Medicine partners to celebrate this milestone for the Class of 2029.

P4 is a four-year experience designed to give students a deep and practical understanding of the medical field. From freshman through senior year, students participate in lectures, lab work, job shadowing, skills training, STEM instruction, and mentorship led by SIU Medicine physicians, faculty, and medical students.

This powerful partnership helps prepare students to thrive in college and beyond—building future doctors, researchers, and healthcare leaders right here in our community.
