********Please note the updated information about returning your Chromebooks to Lanphier. We will be collecting computers Thursday and Friday this week and Tuesday and Wednesday next week.   - Mrs. Miller and the Admin want to minimize any disruptions during Exams, therefore, we have made some clarifications (in red) as listed below. - Students will come down to the Gardner Gym with their computer and charger.   - Computers need to be charged to 80% so we can safely shut them down for summer storage.   - If students do not have their charger then they will be charged $30 by the district unless they can find the charger and return it prior to next Wednesday.   - Once students turn in their computer another one will not be checked out to take a final so please stress not to turn it in until their last final is completed.  Students must remain in their Exam room until the dismissal bell. Schedule: 5/23 Thursday-Students can return their device at any point during the lunch period that begins at 11:35am. Tech Staff will remain in the Gardner Gym until 3:00pm 5/24 Friday-Students can return their device at any point during the lunch period that begins at 11:35am. Tech Staff will remain in the Gardner Gym until 3:00pm 5/28 Tuesday-Students can come to school from 9AM-2PM to return their device. 5/29 Wednesday-Students can come to school from 9AM-2PM to return their device. ***Note #1: If students are not taking their final exams, then they can meet with Mr. Weir or Mr. Jordan on Wednesday to complete the return process. We will be available on Day 1 of Finals as well. ***Note #2: All students must return their Chromebook. New/refurbished Chromebooks will be issued if a student attends summer school or when they return next fall.  ***Note #3: Failure to return a Chromebook results in a charge of $200 - $300 being placed on the student's account. Note #4: To Minimize Distractions/Disruptions: Once a student enters class during Exams, then the student must remain in the class until the dismissal bell.  - No Call Outs - No Send Outs - No Walk Outs (if a student leaves w/o permission, then issue an "F" for their Exam grade.

The LHS Choir performed in concert tonight. It was their last show of the season! Next show will be in our new auditorium!

We are so proud to announce that Life Skills student, Christian Wallace, just graduated from Project Search. Christian graduated from LHS last year and was able to be a part of this internship program where students work with a job coach to learn job skills at various stations at Memorial Hospital. Christian plans to start his new job at Goodwill Industries in the janitorial department soon. We are very proud of him and his accomplishments!

Attention current Sophomores: If you ordered a class ring, then please see the Jostens representatives the morning of Wednesday May 15th to receive your class of 2026 ring. Jostens will be located in the South End of the Atrium from 7:45-8:20am.

🚨🚨Any girl interested in playing volleyball for the upcoming school year, there will be a mandatory meeting on May 9th after school at 4pm in the Lober-Nika Gym. Congratulations to Tony Daniel on his induction into the Chicago Catholic Athletic League Hall of Fame! Pictured are Tony and his family, and Tony with his high school teammate and 2016 inductee (who ran for University of Iowa) that nominated him.

We want to give a huge shout out to Laytavion Drew. The JROTC class visited Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville this week, and Laytavion was awarded a scholarship for the first year should he he decide to attend. We are so proud of him and all of our first year JROTC students.

All after school activities at Lanphier are cancelled for tonight 4/24/24. This includes the PM Program.

We'd like to give a huge shout out to our own Tony Daniel. TD is being inducted into the Chicago Catholic League Athletic Hall of Fame. While in high school, Daniel was a two time all state Cross Country athlete. He placed fourth in the two mile for track. He was named to the All Catholic League team three different times for track and cross country. TD was also named the athlete of the year in both sports. He furthered his academic and sports career by attending Illinois State University. While at ISU, Daniel was named All Missouri Valley four times in both track and cross country. Daniel holds many school records at Mendel High School and Illinois State University. We are so lucky to have him on our staff and have him working with our students at Lanphier!
